well, i tested out the rx7 with the new carb on from luke.

i can definitely say its a MASSIVE improvement from my stock nikki carb. i could feel the pressure on the accelerator pedal wanting to open quite early but there was a perfect amount of room for just cruising on the primaries too...why i would want to not hammer my car i dont know, but its there just incase :wink: . as far as flat spots go, i honestly could not find any and thats no joke. im yet to have it tuned by a professional but in saying that, i got it to run and idle smoothly after 5 mins of messing around. (thanks to lukes previous tuning when it was on his car it was very close to what i needed). one more note, much more fun to drive now that the mid range power has more balls. im stoked.

will definitely be dealing with luke again, he really is a top bloke.

i hope this helps other peoples confidence in buying from luke.

i have just realised how great these can be. after putting lukes modified carby on my extend mild port 12a the power increase is unreal. like having a turbo on the car when those secondaries open up, i love it and the carby looks great to. luke is a top bloke and one of the best to do such mods. thanks luke and thanks everyone.

carby fitted to 13b and running.need to mod my accell cable a little and make up some spacers for the mounting bolts but running well.heaps more pick up in the bottom end and mid range and the electric choke................lets just say i cant wait to start it cold.haha.awesome stuff

...for anyone thinking, this is a vast improvement - feels a lot better through the gears and responsive down low.

... the nikki is bloody great, much more responsive than my previous setup. Good boost in power when those secondaries open up. Just wished i could smooth out that point when the secondaries kick in, im abit rough with the pedal i guess

If you are looking for a decent carby STOP! Just recieved my carby from Luke and it has been well worth the wait. It is a whole new car now. If you are running a stock Nikki then take it off and send it to Qld where Luke can work his magic.
After fitting, the mechanical secondaries mod took a little getting used to, and for some reason I seem to be seeing 8000rpm alot easier hell yeah!
It looks so much neater now! Sorry no photos just yet, cameras on the fritz. Just need to hook up my HOLLEY Red pump and my LOW PRESSURE 1-4 PSI REGULATOR. Make sure you get this one. On the plus side I don't need a dyno to tell me I have more power. I just know......

If i had ten thumbs, I'd put e'm all up for Luke!

Ok so carb is on. Fixed idle and replaced plugs. Drove it and immidiately VERY impressed like "holy crap what a difference!". A little patience and i got the feel for the mechanical secondaries, and what a change! It is like a totally new car. The easiest way to explain it is "TOTALLY FRIGGEN AWESOME!!!"
So it: Revs hard - check
Pulls over 8000RPM - check
looks better - check
CAUTION!
Check undies after use

Go the carby back and the rotor is running like an animal now..!!

Needs a proper dyno tune now to get the full benefit outta it, but Oneiros instructions on his site help get the rx back on the road..!!

Its even idling smoother and power is coming on awsome from the Seat dyno ..!!

Just installed the modified Nikki on a 12a with extractors (no other mods I know of - maybe very mild ports but not certain about this). The carby has made a fantastic improvement!

The car is smoother overall, definitely extra low speed power as well as reving out faster. Starts really well on these cold mornings too which I wasn't really expecting!

Your instructions made it easy to fit and tune as well.

Thanks for the great modifications and it all looks close to stock!

Got one of these installed in my standard 12A series 2 rx7 a few weeks ago. Cheers mate!

Love it. Mine is couple with a racing beat intake, and has no problems at all.

Great in the low end, much smoother in the high end, and best of all for me... my car is quieter on highways in 5th!
Very happy.
